Seasoning Packaging

The Seasoning Series Design, created by Zhang Jian-Must, Jiachun Zhou, and Yiting Liu, aims to elevate the process of using seasonings by utilizing intuitive perception and thoughtful design. The designers have carefully considered the user's behavior and perception psychology to create a product that enhances the overall dining experience.

The Chess Seasoning Pot, one of the highlights of the series, features a soy sauce bottle that resembles a stable chess piece. By picking up the bottle, users will feel a sense of stability and elegance, adding a touch of sophistication to the dining table.

The Pepper Seasoning Bag is designed with a unique pinch position that serves as a handle, allowing for smooth shaking of the bag. The pepper is concentrated at the bottom of the bag, making it easy to tear and pour out the desired amount. The translucent packaging adds a visual appeal, enticing users to interact with the product.

The Mustard Bag, with its slender shape, offers users better control over the amount of mustard squeezed out. The elongated design allows for careful and precise dispensing, ensuring that the desired amount is easily controlled.

The Seasoning Series Design utilizes various materials and production techniques to bring the designs to life. The soy sauce bottle is made of kaolin and fired with transparent glaze, while the pepper seasoning bag is made of 135g sulphate paper. The mustard bag is vacuum packed with PE film, ensuring a long shelf life and corrosion resistance.

The Seasoning Series Design is not only visually appealing but also functional. The soy sauce bottle is designed with a slightly concave and curved top, allowing for comfortable pouring. The pepper seasoning bag's handle-like pinch position ensures smooth shaking, while the mustard bag's elongated shape provides better control over the amount of mustard squeezed out.

The Seasoning Series Design project began in Guangzhou in June 2019 and was completed in December 2019. Throughout the design process, the team conducted extensive research, observing user behavior and continuously testing and incorporating user feedback. The result is a product that enhances the user's perception and provides a more pleasant and enjoyable dining experience.

The Seasoning Series Design has been recognized for its excellence and innovation. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2020, a prestigious accolade that celebrates well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The design has been praised for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
